Q - Do you do custom orders?
A - That’s a big, emphatic YES! In fact, most of the work we do is custom. One of Antonia’s favourite things is collaborating with a bride to create a bespoke, one of a kind piece.
Q - How does a custom order work?
A - The creation of a custom piece typically starts with either a visit to our Leslieville showroom, or an online meeting (via Skype, FaceTime or WhatsApp). Ideally we’d love you to try on some samples and see what suits you, and what you feel beautiful in. Then we discuss variations on style, materials used etc. Once we’ve had our initial meeting, Antonia will come up with a rough sketch (sketching’s not her strong point, but you’ll get a good idea), and a quote for pricing. If you choose to move forward, you will receive in-progress photos along the way, because we never want our brides to be surprised, and Antonia loves the collaboration process. This way you have the opportunity to request a little more or a little less of this or that, and become part of the design process. We do request a 50% deposit (+ HST if applicable) to start, and then the balance upon completion.
Q - Is there an additional charge for a custom piece?
A - For unique, one-of-a-kind pieces, we charge an extra fee to cover the design and approval process, with the fee varying depending on the complexity of the piece. From the initial consultation to the final creation, Antonia stays in contact with clients regularly, providing status updates and photographs of the design process to ensure that everything is perfect with her custom pieces. For simple changes to existing designs, such as changing finishes or types of stones, there is no additional design fee (though material fees may affect final pricing based on the value of the materials themselves).
Q - How much time do you need to create a piece?
A - That really depends upon the piece, but a month is ideal. In the case of hand-embroidered veils, two months is preferable. For smaller pieces, 2 - 3 weeks is fine.
Q - Do you accommodate rush orders
A - We will always try to accommodate rush orders, but it depends on current workload. Please don’t hesitate to ask, and we’ll do our best to make it work, but will let you know up front if we can’t.
Q - Do you take cash?
A - Yes, but we still have to charge HST.
Q - Do you take returns or exchanges?
A - Yes, we are happy to take returns or exchanges on the pieces featured on our website. We can not offer returns or exchanges on custom pieces.
